A PMA is a group of men and women who agree to associate for a common purpose such as an activity or interest. It is based on our right to associate freely, without governmental interference as long as there does not “present a clear and present danger of substantive evil”. Thomas v. Collins, 323 U.S. 516 (1945).  One benefit of a PMA is that privacy is maintained between its members and there is greater freedom to provide services that are agreed upon by the members.  In exchange for the services, a donation or “consideration” is given by the recipient of the services instead of a fee.  In order to gain access to all resources and services provided by Graceful Departure, become a free member.
